JOB DESCRIPTION
Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a North Shore based nonprofit to identify a CFO to join their team. The CFO will wear multiple hats and will be responsible for managing accounting, billing, payroll, facilities, and/or IT functions, including staff supervision.

The CFO’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Participate in the ongoing strategic planning process as an integral member of the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams
  • Partner with the Executive Director on all operational and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations to the Executive Director based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
  • Oversee budgeting, and budget implementation, to monitor progress and present operational metrics both internally and externally
  • Develop and manage direct staff, to include managers in finance, facilities, and IT. Guides larger multidisciplinary teams outside of direct span of control.
  • Manage cash flow and forecasting; direct all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting
  • Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials and metrics for funding organizations and the agency’s Board of Directors; prepare and communicate monthly and annual financial statements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
  • 10+ years' experience managing a budget of $5M or greater
  • Experience working in the nonprofit or educational industries preferred by not required
  • Proven management experience with accounting, billing, payroll, facilities, and/or IT functions, including staff supervision.
  • Strong people management skills including mentoring, performance evaluations, and career/professional development
