Under the supervision and guidance of the Director of Nursing and/or charge nurse on duty, the CNA/Nurse Aide is responsible to provide basic care and to assist residents with activities of daily living. The CNA/Nurse Aide must have excellent people skills and the ability to be compassionate and enjoy helping others. Promotes a care environment that places an emphasis on positive living and creative aging, person respected care and relationship centered living. Facilitates an environment of wellness, promoting maximum independence for each resident.

Responsibilities:

-Maintains HIPAA, privacy and confidentiality of resident medical information

-Provides basic resident care services including, but not limited to: bathing, toileting, personal hygiene dressing; serving meals and assisting residents to eat/drink; walking and exercising; taking, documenting and reporting vital signs; turning an repositioning residents for their comfort and health.

-Answering resident calls for assistance

-Keeping resident rooms orderly and appropriately stocked with necessary supplies

Performance Requirement:

-Contributes to continuity of care by effectively communicating services provided and changes in the resident's condition or family interactions to the DON and/or charge nurse, in a timely manner.

-Attends clinical staff meetings and uses knowledge gained to provide quality care

-Keep up-to-date on required in-service trainings and continuing education requirements

-Projects a professional image toward residents, staff and visitors

-Reports to work timely and as scheduled

-Upholds all health and safety standards

-Other duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.10 - $14.50 per hour
