This is a full-time, permanent position where the Pediatric Med-Surg Nursing Educator RN will be an employee for one of Colorado’s top-ranked health systems.

The Pediatric Med-Surg Nursing Educator will provide clinical education to the new hires and current department staff. Reporting to the Director of Professional Development, the Nurse Educator will work across several medical surgical departments dedicated to pediatric care. Responsibilities of the Pediatric Medical Surgical Nurse Educator include coordinating the on-boarding and new hire orientation for all inpatient, acute care employees working on the medical surgical units. The Medical Surgical Pediatric Nurse Educator will ensure compliance, patient safety, and quality care is consistently delivered through promoting a team oriented, positive, patient-centered environment.

With state-of-the-art equipment throughout the hospital, the Pediatric Med/Surg Nursing Educator will be up-to-date utilizing advanced technology and evidence based practice. The Nurse Educator Med-Surg Pediatric should also be familiar with using electronic medical records EMR, creating educational curriculum and programs, presenting, and mentoring teams. Additionally, the Nurse Educator Pediatric Med Surg will have a recent clinical background working in an acute care setting, ideally with a pediatric population, along with prior preceptor or Nurse Educator experience. The Med/Surg Pediatric Nurse Educator should hold their Registered Nurse License and be Master’s Prepared.
