NURSE PRACTITIONER - MENTAL HEALTH ASSESSMENTS

SITE OF SERVICE:

  • 20th Medical Group, Shaw AFB, SC 29152.
  • HCWs shall receive notification two weeks to the reassignment to another location with a 40-mile commuting radius of their assigned MTF.
  • Full Time Position

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree: Master's degree in nursing.
  • Education: Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Certification: ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
    • Certified in the specialty required as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
    • American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)

Or

    • The recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate (for example, National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, American Nurses Association, National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Specialties).
  • DEA registration - required for Nurse Practitioner.
  • Additional Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) hands on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Experience: 2 years of experience within the last 3 years in the required clinical.
  • Licensure: Possess a current and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Island
  • U.S. Citizenship: Shall be a U.S. citizen
  • English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
  • Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.

HOURS:

  • Services shall be provided in the assigned clinical area Monday – Friday 0730-1630
  • Will not be required to work on federally recognized holidays. ACC Family down Days (Contractor will work if MTF is open based on mission needs.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team-work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
