Description: The Account Representative will focus sales efforts on the Northwest region, but occasional travel to other areas may be required. This is a remote role with location in Mountain or Pacific time zones preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and execute sales strategy, sales plans, to achieve quarterly and annual goals
  • Maintain and continuously expand customer base with emphasis on major accounts
  • Communicate feedback to management on trends in market
  • Communicate major customer information, revenue target progress, and product forecasts with accuracy and on a regular basis
  • Attend local and national tradeshows
  • Create customer pricing strategies
  • Deliver technical presentations on products to customers
  • Ensure accurate information is presented to the customer in regarding product specifications and company information
  • Effectively manage time to deliver optimal territory results
  • Follow establishes company SOP and ISO 9001 Guidelines
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license with approval for Omega Bio-tek insurance company for drive suitability

Requirements:

  • BS Degree in life science area, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience or knowledge of workflows with DNA & RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, microarrays and NGS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in life science area preferred
  • Minimum 3 years proven sales experience
  • Experience selling genomic products or services
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills and ability to manage large amounts of technical data and documentation
  • Knowledge of liquid handling robotics a plus
