Serves as an integral position to the daily operation of Ed Robson Arena and will be the primary provider of customer interactions, to include point of sales transactions, general information, scheduling, and troubleshooting.

Anticipated Salary Range: On-Call/Temp (starts at $15.00 per hour)

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Point of Sale system to receive payments and offer excellent customer service to all patrons and visitors.
  • Greet customers and guests with a courteous attitude and be willing to provide accurate information about the facility.
  • Assist with the rental and maintenance process of the skate inventory.
  • Actively participate in the upkeep of the facility to include cleaning/disinfecting, mopping, and sweeping of general usage areas, such as lounges, benches, locker rooms, storage areas.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Actively support the colleges plan to be an antiracist institution by understanding, engaging with, and promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity in the college community.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental protection by working in a safe manner; immediately reporting unsafe situations and accidents; following college procedures; and participating in appropriate safety training.
  • Demonstrate environmental sustainability by using college resources wisely and supporting the colleges sustainability initiatives and innovation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; minimum 18 years of age; ability to recognize and troubleshoot issues; ability to follow safety and security guidelines and exercise good judgement; ability to uphold policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, facilities, and equipment; ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds; ability to work a flexible schedule based on events, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed; general office skills to include operating of computers, copiers, and phones; comfortable working in a team and independent environment under potentially stressful conditions; proficient with computer software to include Microsoft Office; ability to stand for prolonged times and lift up to 50 pounds. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and a driving record that is insurable by Colorado Colleges motor vehicle insurance carrier.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in related field; prior experience in customer service industry; commitment to inclusion and equity in all aspects of operations; strong commitment to customer service; ability to multi-task, work independently and self-motivate.
