We are currently seeking a Occupational Medicine Physician to join our MEDcare center in the Charleston, SC market. This critical position offers the ability for Physicians to deliver high-caliber care in a occupational medicine setting. This position is located at our MEDcare North Charleston Wescott Urgent Care center. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. No weekends, call or overnight shifts.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide occupational health services overseeing the patient's diagnosis, treatment and prevention of occupational illnesses and injuries
• Conducting Work Physical's including DOT and NON-DOT
• Conducting Worker's Compensation visits including initial and follow up visit
• Facilitate referrals to other appropriate health providers when appropriate
• Completion of paperwork required by Employers, Worker's Compensation Carriers, Department of Transportation and others as needed
• Communicate test results, follow up care, and other treatment plans as appropriate

• Mastery in computer software applications
• Ability to excel in a team-focused environment
• Ability to work in our Urgent Care centers if needed
• Ability to work a 12 hour shift if needed

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine
• Clinical experience in occupational medicine preferred
• Must be licensed by the South Carolina State Board of Medical Examiners
• Must maintain a DEA license with no restrictions
• Must maintain a FMCSA NRCME certification
