Job description
Record, facilitate and coordinate re-certification insurance process as well as Record, process referrals and coordinate Patient Referral Services process.
Other duties:
- Provide accurate information for billing, medical records, and all patient care areas.
- Coordinate efforts with the family, referring source/agency in order to provide a smooth Patient Referral Services process.
- Provide a smooth admission process for patients and all referral resources.
- Responsible for accurate and timely preparation of progress reports and information for re-certification for commercial and federal payers for all outpatients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintains accurate funding information and will update client information on a regular basis to ensure accurate billing information.

Obtains any additional information needed by third party payers to process claims and responds within 2 business days.

Participates in the programs and facility's monitoring of performance improvement and quality assurance.

Acts as a liaison between admissions department and therapy department, Clinic, and is responsible for patient scheduling and initial admissions.

Acts as intake coordinator for physician outpatient consults.

Assists with chart set-up and compiling records.

Works in collaboration with other staff regarding facility operations and program development.

Participates in establishment of policies I procedures and practices and demonstrates use of same. Adheres to work practices consistent with

Completes other duties as assigned in a timely fashion.
Qualifications:
1. Skill, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge or admitting and funding sources, re-certification process. Ability to understand medical terminology.
Basic computer skills.
2. Education: High school graduate.
