General Purpose:
The Office Services Mailroom Clerk processes documents and delivers documents and materials within the office and surrounding metropolitan areas. He or she supports mail and courier operations. They pick up and distribute mail and perform various tasks related to mail and shipping area operations. This role is located in-person at our Denver office (Monday - Friday, 8am- 4:30pm) and requires driving within the Denver-metro area (using the firm's vehicle).

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides assistance to attorneys, paralegals, and staff regarding the mail, shipping operations, and drop off items in the mail room.
  • Picks up, distributes, and process mail and other materials to all floors, including: sorting, weighing, sealing and metering.
  • Travels within the metro area to file, submit and/or copy documents at various courts, clients and agencies in the Denver area. Handles emergency needs outside of standard planning travel.
  • Understand deadlines and determines need for arranging for outside couriers to assist with deliveries.
  • Obtains signatures for drop off and pick up of packages or certified mail.
  • Maintain logs and enters related charges into appropriate systems for billing.
  • Assists with moving equipment, furniture and other materials as requested.
  • Notarize documents for clients, other parties and firm personnel.
  • Reviews Messenger email inbox and answers phone for requests.
  • Maintain assigned databases with personnel changes for mail distribution purposes.
  • Performs other duties within department as assigned.
  • Acts as back‑up to other positions within Office Services as necessary.

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):

  • High School Degree or GED required.
  • Valid Driver’s License and good driving record is required. Knowledge of city and surrounding Metropolitan area preferred.
  • Notary Status preferred or interest in obtaining Notary status
  • Ability and willingness to learn and use various technologies to support the operations in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to work productively under pressure to meet all deadlines.
  • Ability identify and overcome obstacles in completing duties
  • Ability to communicate (in both oral and written forms) effectively and appropriately at all levels
  • Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite other Windows-based Applications.
  • Demonstrated skill in organizing work and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work earlier or later to meet firm requests

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee must have the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of at least ten (25) pounds; have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer and/or related office equipment; speak clearly and concisely so listeners can understand; and regularly understand the speech of another person.

Work Environment:

Holland & Hart offers of employment take into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. Salary Range -$15.87 -$23.55, likely starting at approximately $18.00 per hour ($35,000/year). A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
