This position is for GC Energy Services for an offshore job starting the middle of September for 40 days. Welders will be tested on SMAW, fitters will be required to pass written exam and hands on pipe test. Watersurvival and RigPass is a plus but will train if necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the following: Other duties may be assigned.

1. Clean and prepare construction/production sites.

2. Load, unload, identify, stack, and distribute building materials to the appropriate location according to project plans and specifications.

3. Dig trenches; install sewer, water, and storm drainpipes; and place concrete and asphalt on roads.

4. May operate an haul a variety of equipment, including pavement breakers; jackhammers; concrete, mortar, paint, and plaster mixers.

5. Laborers must be familiar with the duties of other craftworkers and with the materials, tools, and machinery they use, as all of these workers work as part of a team, jointly carrying out assigned construction tasks.

6. Perform general clean-up work such as:

• Sweeping
• Mopping
• Repairing

7. Other duties as assigned

Required Education & Experience:

1. High Schoold Diploma or GED preferred.

2. One or more years experience in Industrial and/or marine industry preferred.

3. Firewatch/holewatch certification preferred.

Working Conditions:

1. Regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and / or rainy weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.

2. Most construction laborers do physically demanding work. Some work at great heights or outdoors in all weather conditions.

3. Must wear hearing, eye, and other necessary protective equipment.

4. Some climbing (100 feet) and lifting (50 lbs.) involved.
