About the Position

We're seeking to find a great fit and someone who can start ASAP for an On Call Test Administrator to perform services in support of the Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE) Base Training and Education Center (BTEC), Langley Air Force Base (LAFB) division. This position will serve as a backup in the absence of the main appointed test administrator. This position has the potential to be the main appointed test administrator when the position becomes available.

The Test Administrator shall be responsible for administering the following categories of tests to eligible military personnel, military dependents and civilian personnel as authorized by the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES), Air Force Institute for Advanced Distributed Learning (AFIADL), Air Combat Command (ACC) and local regulations (NOTE: additional categories of tests may be added as needed).


Main Duties:

  • Schedule all examinees in the Air Force Automated Education Management System testing module.
  • Prepare and maintain a safe and proper test environment.
  • Review test materials prior to issuance.
  • Review proper identification and other Personal Identifiable information.
  • Provide instructions to examinees.
  • Ensure time limits are strictly adhered to regarding the categories of tests authorized.
  • Safeguard tests and safes.
  • Preparation of tests for mailing.
  • Assist with inventory management.
  • Maintain statistical date to create monthly reporting.
  • Maintain all documents and correspondence files in an orderly manner.
  • Process all necessary paperwork required for optimum operation of testing program.
  • Prepare and print advertisements regarding special testing
  • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
  • Test Administrators will be required to undergo training and a background investigation to have access to government systems.
  • Test Administrators will also be required to oversee a certain number of exams per category under direct supervision, before being approved to oversee the exam solely.


Work Hours/Days:

The government will determine the number of sessions (a pre-scheduled four hour block of time dedicated to providing the services) required each week and will notify the contractor with the intended schedule no later than seven (7) days prior to the designated work unit.

Based on historical data, it is estimated that four to six sessions will be required per week for the Test Administrator.

The current test session time schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 0730-1130 and 1130-1530 hours. Hours are subject to change based on testing participants.


Required Skills:

The contractor shall be responsible for providing Test Administrator personnel with expertise as follows:

  • 4-year accredited degree
  • Ability to properly use all Microsoft Office tools, internet, and intranet resources.
  • Possess strong organizational skills with emphasis on protecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII) as well as other sensitive information.
  • English Language Requirement. Personnel shall read, understand, speak, and write English fluently.
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Active Clearance is preferred.


Required experience:

  • 4-year Degree
  • Test Administering and/or Education Experience: Minimum 2 years
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
