Title: Onboarding Specialist FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

General Summary

The Onboarding Specialist is singularly focused on and fanatically responsible for the timely processing of inbound applications, obtaining all the necessary pre-employment screening requirements and scheduling them for new employee orientation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for all in-bound applications through the Application Tracking System (ATS). Initial review, first contact, pre-employment screening, background check and eventual scheduling for new employee orientation.

2. Continually looking for process improvement to decrease time between initial application and hire date. Time to hire is critical.
3. Partners with Human Resources in developing policies and procedures pertaining to onboarding, pre-screening and data reporting.
4. Communicates with potential candidates timely, answering all questions and resolving issues quickly.
5. Works collaboratively with Recruiter to connect with potential candidates.
6. Proactively communicate with all levels and works collaboratively with Corporate Argus; HR, Accounting, Operations, and

Recruiting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

1. This position requires a tenacious and meticulous demeanor.
2. Even though the job is the same each day, it is filled with challenges that must be overcome.
3. Must be able to respond to change in a positive and productive way. You are the face of Argus and as such you have to maintain a professional attitude even in the face of chaos.
4. Must exhibit and embodied superior customer service skills.
5. Time to hire is key to the whole process. We are a high volume recruiting and staffing organization.
6. Project planning skills; ability to handle multiple tasks, works tactically and thinks strategically.
7. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Must be comfortable with and adapt quickly to the technology and the challenges it presents and have working knowledge in

Microsoft Word and Excel, ATS and HRIS platforms.

Physical Demands of the Job
Must be able to move in a quick, energetic manner. Long periods of sitting while on the phone and the computer are common.

Psychological Demands
Moderately stressful with constantly changing demands and imposing deadlines.

Working Conditions
Fast paced environment. Longer hours/days are necessary. May be required to work, evenings, weekends.
