Job description

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Supporting Import and Export shipments with successful placement, control and arrangement of appropriate packaging and equipment according to specified SOPs

§ Coordination and dispatching of drivers or agents for collections and deliveries ensuring that they are on time, and they adhere to customer expectations regarding documentation

§ Booking of shipments with airlines (MAWB) and integrator to ensure best routing solution for Exports and coordinating proper handling and storage of all shipments with airlines and ground handling facilities

§ Preparation of labeling and shipments for Export (some heavy lifting may be required) and ensuring that a driver is dispatched to meet the airline cut-off time for international shipments

§ Working with internal and external teams to ensure trade compliance for all Import and Export shipments

§ Operating the relevant IT systems, including but not limited to WeCom, OMS, ShipSameDay, Veroot, and others, to make all necessary data entry and confirmation of key milestones (departure, arrival, customs clearance, etc.) for all shipments

§ Conducting communication of pre-alerts to for all shipments with Client branches and local service providers and ensuring communication to confirm receipt of the pre-alert and shipment instructions

§ Conducing pre- and post-flight shipment check and communicating with airlines and handling agents in case of delays or off-loads.

§ Monitoring status of shipments, identifying and acting to deal with issues as they arise, implementing planned corrective measures and escalating appropriately to maintain product viability

§ Responding to day to day operational queries from customers, agents and partners and communicating with internal teams to resolve potential issues

§ Other tasks as required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $4,000.00 - $4,500.00 per month

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• East Rockaway, NY 11518: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Logistics: 1 year (Preferred)
• Biomedical cold chain: 1 year (Preferred)
