Enterprise Role Overview:

Follows established written procedures and guidelines, provides standard reporting and analytical support. Uses established techniques, analyzes and resolves a wide variety of moderately complex operations problems and initiatives including transactions that require special handling and/or exception handling. Employees in this role typically have a college degree (Associates or higher) or comparable work experience. Required skills include: basic Excel knowledge, detail orientation, ability to manage multiple priorities and multi task, excellent time management and prioritization skills, ability to meet tight deadlines, ability and willingness to continuously learn on the job , ability to problem-solve and take ownership of process improvements, ability to work in a team environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with various stakeholders. Desired skills for this role include: expert Excel knowledge, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar major preferred and basic understanding of and/or experience in Financial service industry.

LOB Specific Job Description:

This position will involve various tasks that are used to settle LATAM based trade obligations.

Responsibilities:

  • Settlement of numerous obligations through various LATAM markets (Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia & Argentina).

  • Daily interaction via email and phone with contra brokers, trade support teams, trading desks, and other internal Operation areas.

  • Daily processing tasks include; mitigation of firm risk/exposure by ensuring timely settlements, resolve cash/stock breaks, narration of any/all responsible fail and break items, and the monitoring of failing issues. Associate will be required to multi task in a high volume, fast paced environment all while meeting settlement timeframes.

Requirements:

  • Ability to escalate appropriately and obtain problem solving skills

  • Solid oral & written communication skills

  • Ability to multitask in a high volume/fast paced environment

  • Ability to quickly learn and understand different settlement functions

  • Able to work from 8am-5pm with OT potential
