Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Planning and Operations Manager that will report to the Tactical Space Systems Division General Manager. Tactical Space Systems Division is an end to end mission provider of Space Security, Human Exploration, Space Science, and Global Commercial Communications capabilities.

This position manages the division-level cadence and operational affairs within the leadership team. The selected candidate will guide opportunities for collaboration between the division, business units, and functional teams. This role will be responsible for managing the division’s operating cadence, reporting to sector including, preparing for operational reviews, tracking division level actions, and leading and driving closure on special projects. This role is expected to partner across all functional groups and will have insight into all aspects of our business to include financials, program execution, staffing, sector reporting, and strategy.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience in the Aerospace / Defense industry; Masters Degree with 5+ years of experience in the Aerospace / Defense Industry.

  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple functions of the organization leading complex projects in support of organizational goals / objectives.

  • Technologically savvy with tools such as Office 365, Sharepoint, Teams, etc. to drive efficient collaboration and productivity.

  • Proven ability to prioritize and complete competing priorities and projects within critical deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships with others, including ability to interact effectively with senior level management.

  • Experience processing large amounts of information, synthesizing, and integrating to meet various leadership team needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

  • Experience working with senior executives.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with clarity and impact at all levels of the organization.

  • High energy, strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to operate at both a strategic and a hands-on level, as needed.

  • Strong data analytic capability and attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Highly advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint skills.



Salary Range: $176,100 USD - $264,100 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
