Operations Support Specialist

With our continued growth we are looking to add an “Operations Support Specialist” to our Ashland, WI location. This candidate will ensure accurate and timely fulfilment of sales orders and assists with organization, workflow between the warehouse and office staff.

The right candidate will:

Ensure timely, accurate shipment of orders
Enter sales orders using internal inventory software
Print supporting shipping paperwork
Schedule inbound and outbound shipments (both LTL and truckload)
Assign jobs accordingly for warehouse staff
Assist with shipment loading, unloading, and transferring within warehouse (use of forklift and pallet jack)
Assist with office management
Order office and warehouse supplies as needed
Provide courteous and professional customer service to both walk-in-retail customers and dealers (face-to-face, e-mail, and telephone)

Preferred experience:

Prior warehouse or distribution experience
Ability to lead, motivate, and work as a team player
Organizational, prioritization, and communication skills (both written and oral)
Creative problem-solving skills
Ability to make logical, timely decisions
Comfortable with computers
Use of the internet and moving between screens
Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Ability and interest in learning new software programs
Confident analytical and arithmetic skills
Working with percentages to calculate seed blends
Comfortable working in an occasionally physically demanding environment
Standing, sitting, walking, occasional climbing, twisting, reaching
Lifting up to (and sometimes over) 50 lbs
