Operator – Box Maker and/or Buffer Attendant

We are currently seeking for applicants to join our team and fill our full-time position as an Operator at our greenhouse operation in Delta, OH.

Job Details

Operators are crucial members of our operation – they are essential for ensuring production moves forward every day. Without them, we would not be able to grow at the scale we do at Nature Fresh!

*Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Box Maker

• Facilitates the upkeep of box stock.
• Guarantees the ongoing box production and ensures that all equipment, mechanisms and components are kept in optimal conditions to perform
• Ensures that the product is not contaminated by following proper handling and all food safety policies and procedures
• Perform pre-operational inspections of area and equipment
• Check with supervisor for the total production required for the day.
• Load boxes and cut strings as needed throughout the day
• Ensure boxes are folding and gluing correctly.
• Stack boxes on pallets
• Tie skid of boxes with a string
• Cover boxes with a pallet lid
• Move finished skids to the stockpile
• Stack all broken or damaged cardboard on pallets
• Clean box-maker and all moveable parts.
• Ensure that the glue tank is clean and full.
• Will also conduct miscellaneous jobs throughout the warehouse that may include but not limited to crushing boxes, warehouse cleaning, Zamboni driving and miscellaneous maintenance.

Job Requirements

• Experience is an asset – however, if the candidate shows commitment and a willingness to learn, we are willing to train.
• Position will require lifting up to 50lbs.
• Work setting can be moderately loud at times
• Good communication skills and attention to detail are essential
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to distinguish colors
• Must be able to work Monday through Saturday and work unpredictable hours
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment screens (background and drug test)
• Safety shoes are required.
• Must be able to speak Spanish with at least moderate fluency.

Workplace Conditions

• Working with minimal supervision
• Position will require walking and standing with extended amounts of time on your feet
• Exposure to extreme temperatures (including heat and cold)
• Fast paced environment, repetitive tasks
• Physically demanding
• Environment may be wet or damp at times

The starting wage for this position is $17.17/hour.
