• Assists seal pad department with troubleshooting repairs and minor maintenance of equipment and assisting personnel in daily operations.
• Trains operators on how to operate seal pad equipment and restore flow.
• Reports to operations for plant.
• Monitors quality control to ensure adherence to standards.
• Provides training as required.
• Performs training and documentation through sign-offs.
• Works with the team leader to resolve equipment problems. Reports detailed information to the team leader.
• Performs minor changeovers routinely and serves as the primary backup for major changeovers.
• Serves as primary back-up to shift operators when necessary.
• Have the ability to communicate clearly and accurately with other departments.
• Good problem solving skills. Ability to work with other employees to resolve problems regarding product/process quality issues.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or as called upon up to and including running a seal pad line, as directed by the shift Team Leader.
• Good performance, safety and attendance records.
• Willing and able to work overtime.
• Must be able to operate forklift.
• By personal example, communicates and demonstrates to employees the importance of working safely on a daily basis.
• Be knowledgeable of all company rules and regulations, and enforces them as applicable.
• Promote & participate in adherence to 5S and Lean Manufacturing initiatives (PBS).
• Other tasks as assigned by management.
• Daily lifting of up to 50-80 lbs.
• Follow safety rules, Good Manufacturing Policy rules, and have team oriented demeanor.
• Hair and or beard hair groomed and maintained to support food safety standards with the use of hair and/or beard nets.
• Have good personal hygiene for self and proper work attire.

Qualifications

• Must have Manufacturing Operator experience!
• Knowledge of safety programs (I.e. Confined Space, LOTO, Machine Guarding, Mobile Equipment, etc.).
• Working knowledge of all aspects of seal pad process.
• Intermediate arithmetic skills
• Ability to read and write
• Positive Attitude
• Oral communication with all levels of employees.

• Indoor industrial environment that may experience high temperatures and humidity during the summer months and cold temperatures during winter months.
• Hearing protection required.
• Schedule Mon-Thurs, ability to work overtime.
