Job Purpose:

Wagner Kapoor Institute is a growing practice that shares its time between four local locations and five travel offices. We are seeking motivated individuals to fill the role of ophthalmic technician. An ophthalmic technician is an essential part of our clinic. The technician is responsible for obtaining medical records, performing eye exams, reviewing medications and procedures, and gathering information essential for diagnosing patients.

No prior experience in ophthalmology is required. This is a great opportunity for anyone wishing to begin a career in medicine!

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviews patients charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy
• Checks vision and intraocular pressure
• Administer eye drops for patients
• Assist with procedures
• Assist in training other technicians
• Perform diagnostic testing
• Scribe for the provider
• Complete additional tasks and duties as assigned
• Maintain a positive demeanor, high attention to detail, and ability to work within a team

Education:

Bachelor's (preferred)

Pre-med (a plus)

Location:

Four offices located in Norfolk, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, and Hampton

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
