Job Position: Oracle Database Administrator

Work Mode: Hybrid

The main function would be to work on Oracle databases but to have a SQL experience would be a plus. Having Oracle Cloud experience would also be a big plus.

a. Objective:

Acquire a Database Administrator to assist ITD with maintaining, supporting and upgrading the agency’s existing Oracle and SQL database environments.

b. Tasks to be performed:

1. First line support of ERP and JMS Oracle databases and handle refreshes.

2. Perform database administration, creation maintenance, and performance analysis.

3. Troubleshoot and provide corrective action on continuous basis.

4. Perform and monitor scheduled jobs and ensure production databases are on-line.

5. Develop plan, migrate and work on 12c RAC or higher including Cloud and standalone databases.

6. Upgrade to higher database versions and apply critical patches as needed.

7. Assist as needed with support of SQL production databases, testing/development SQL databases, and Oracle databases.

8. Perform backup and restores, handle ERP and JMS database refreshes, perform database administration, database creation maintenance, performance analysis, troubleshoot and provide corrective action on continuous basis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Oracle: 1 year (Preferred)
• Database administration: 5 years (Preferred)
• SQL: 5 years (Preferred)
