Job Description for Order Selector

(Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate)

The Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate is responsible for the operation of the forklift used for product flow in their respective departments and areas. This position requires loading/unloading delivery trucks and verifying accuracy of the items and paperwork as required for shipments/deliveries. They are required to understand cycle counting procedures and participate in all necessary inventory taking. Forklift Operators must comply with all safety standards and OSHA requirements. Forklift Operators may also be required to operate different forklifts and should possess knowledge. Forklifts are both standup and sit-down.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Willing to work in other departments as needed
• Organization of warehouse
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks and working with customer pickups Maintain inventory control and order processing manually and/or by a hand held scanner.
• Knowledge of cycle counting procedure and participate in all necessary inventory taking
• Conduct daily safety check of the forklift and stand up truck.
• Perform assigned job tasks in a safe manner; follow all safety rules; wear personal protective equipment and practice and observe all OSHA safety rules

• Navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders.
• Package orders.
• Review sets of orders and determine how to load pallets.
• Assemble and label customer orders, reviewing for completeness.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Experience level:

• 2 years

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

• Terryville, CT 06786: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Warehouse Pickers & Packers: 1 year (Preferred)
