ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Reports to the Director of Strategic Initiatives. This role is highly visible across the organization, including senior leadership and to external partners, including the Board of Trustees. Must have the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels. Must have the ability to take on greater responsibility as tenure progresses. The Manager of Organizational Effectiveness is responsible for developing, implementing, and enhancing organizational programs across the organization. Serves as the organization's lead person for change management, organizational design, team effectiveness and leadership/executive development solutions and strategies. Is an active participant with various quality improvement committees. Allocates resources to ensure provision of treatment 24 hours, 7 days a week. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential. Requires knowledge of trauma exposure, knowledge of the 5 S's of trauma: Safety, Self-Regulation/Soothing, Supportive, Strengths, Self-Care, and an understanding of and recognition of the signs of traumatic stress. Ability to work a flexible schedule.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guides the development of creative and high-quality change management solutions with high impact results
  • Creates and implements change management strategies and plans for strategic projects that maximize employee engagement
  • Analyzes data and works with teams to address barriers to retention, onboarding, hiring, supervision, burnout, impact of OT, etc.
  • Assists leadership teams to determine the impact of change, both in a predictive and retrospective view including conducing impact analysis, change readiness plans and user resistance plans
  • Ensures the readiness of the impacted teams for a variety of changes including new technology, processes, or programs
  • Collaborates with stakeholder partners to review people, processes and technology change impacts
  • Drives complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish - working with leaders and subject matter experts to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the organization
  • Utilizes learning & development processes and tools to scope business and process requirements for improved organizational efficiencies
  • Coaches leadership to reinforce knowledge and skills resulting in transforming learning interventions into workplace performance
  • Utilizes current evidence based/informed approaches and industry knowledge to identify and solve complex organizational challenges
  • Works with employee and stakeholder surveys and other forms of feedback to analyze results and operationalize approaches to improve agency performance
  • Works as a collaborator across agency departments and leadership levels to assess and make recommendations for improved efficiency processes
  • Serves as a central project lead routinely relaying, facilitating, and keeping organizational leaders apprised of the project's status and responds to questions or inquiries regarding the project
  • Makes presentations to internal and external individuals and groups as required
  • Maintains confidentiality of employees, volunteers, and program participants to provide a safe environment
  • Works effectively with program participants and family members, employees and vendors in a culturally diverse environment to support healing and recovery
  • Active participant on the DEI Committee and DEI subcommittee work. Collaborates with primary liaison to internal Committees and working groups
  • Demonstrates a commitment to and participates in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) including completion of required documentation as assigned
  • Maintains electronic calendar to provide accounting for daily activities and provides permissions for viewing to the appropriate individuals
  • Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology
  • Experiences in non-profit or human services preferred
  • Minimum of three years related experience
  • Knowledge of childhood trauma and prior experience working in settings with youth and families that have been exposed to trauma or experiencing traumatic stress preferred
  • Knowledge of youth development, adolescent issues, positive youth development/strength-based approach preferred
  • Must have valid Illinois driver's license
  • No history of child abuse or neglect
