JOB TITLE: Inspector/Packager

REPORTS TO: Finishing Supervisor

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process duties may include some or all of the following:

• Inspection of cut cards, smart sheets, pouches, cartons, cassettes or other forms of ZINK media.
• Routine cleaning of equipment and production areas.
• Packaging of materials in sheet or carton form through a heat shrink tunnel or manually for full width or slit rolls.
• Manual insertion of pouched media in retail cartons, both in hand-gluing and on automated equipment.
• Hand gluing of retail cartons.
• Hand assembly of film cassettes.
• Assist in operation of one or more of the following pieces of equipment: rewinders, slitters, sheeting equipment, cutting equipment, pouching, cartoning and other packaging equipment.

  
  General duties include:

• Maintain appropriate housekeeping and process cleanliness.
• Work closely with others in a team environment to meet safety, quality and production goals.
• Interface with existing computer systems: Email, PC applications (Word & Excel).
• Physical and / or mechanical movement of materials manually and with pallet jacks and fork trucks.
• Perform other duties as requested/required.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

• Previous experience and a desire to be an active team member in a team environment.
• Able to be trained to work with our process control system, quality system and inventory control system.
• Proven attendance record
• Good attention to detail skills
• Good problem solving skills
• Proven initiative (self-development, volunteering & work ethics
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
• Acceptance of this position is contingent on passing a background check and drug screen in accordance with local, state, and federal hiring regulations.

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:

• Routinely lifts up to 50 pounds depending on area assigned.
• Able to work 10 hour shifts on a routine basis on our Second Shift Schedule starting at 3:15 pm to 1: 45 am, Monday - Thursday evenings.
• Capable of working extended lengths of time standing during the shift.
