PACKAGING ASSOCIATE

Reports To: Production Manager

Location: Crivitz, WI

Position Overview: The Packaging Associate will actively support the continued growth of Omnia Wood Products LLC by collaborating with the team to ensure efficient and safe production of all Smokey Woods Product Offerings. Directly responsible for the quality, accuracy and appearance of all product shipments to Smokey Woods Customers.

Position is eligible for 9 Paid Holidays and an additional 10 Days Paid Time Off for the 1st Year (prorated based upon start date in calendar year)

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate respectfully and effectively with all team members and affiliated associates
  • Collaborate as a team to complete all orders accurately, efficiently, and on schedule; assist other team members as needed or requested
  • Ensure the quality and quantity of products and packaging materials are to Smokey Woods standards
  • Package all products using appropriate equipment, adhering to all customer requirements
  • Inventory Control and Accuracy including physical counts and finished goods to specifications
  • Label all products accurately
  • Comply with all safety and work policies and procedures per the current Employee Handbook
  • Read and understand packaging schedule
  • Comply with inventory control policies, warehouse planning and placement
  • Attend work as scheduled; work overtime or a temporary alternate schedule as requested
  • Maintain and ensure a safe and clean workstation at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking on concrete while working both inside and outside
  • Repeated bending and twisting for duration of shift
  • Ambient air temperature - from cold to hot and humid. Noise level ranges from medium to high

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to safely operate forklift and packaging & warehouse equipment
  • Use of logic and reasoning in decision making and problem solving
  • Strong attention to detail and quality, Ability to multi-task in a safe and effective manner

Education & Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience in production environment preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education, experience, or training
  • Forklift certification is a plus, or willing to obtain within 90 days

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
