Job Description
Key Duties
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures
- Maintain throughput to standard of 90% or better.
- Perform and maintain all required operator QC checks.
- Operate equipment according to local and machine manufacturer standards.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goal.
- Responsible for all aspects of product quality and finish.
- Perform other operator functions and machine checks as assigned.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
- Provide limited supervision to others through motivation, direction, review and feedback of assigned tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience
- Good communication skills, written and verbal in English. Bilingual a plus.
- Skills in teamwork and communication including problem solving and flexibility.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills with the ability to diagnose.
- Ability to prioritize and organize.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
- Six months of related production based experience preferred
- Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
