JOB DESCRIPTION – PACKAGING TECH I - 2nd Shift

DEPARTMENT PACKAGING
REPORTS TO: PACKAGING MANAGER

HOURS OF WORK: Monday-Friday 4:00pm - 1:00am (2nd shift)

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Packaging tech I will have some knowledge of production and manufacturing fundamentals, cannabis product knowledge and ability to achieve production goals and metrics. They will mostly be packaging joints, weighing them, using a heat sealer, and putting on the COA labeling. Someone with a keen eye for detail and can stay focused are key skills for this position!

JOB DUTIES:

• Weigh and allocate product accurately and in conjunction with company quality standards
• Label product accurately per order with attention to detail
• Box and prepare orders for shipment
• Meet production deadlines and goals as set out by packaging manager
• Follow directions when assigned a task
• Conduct over all cleanliness when performing tasks and after tasks have been completed.
• Checking in and out with leads when going to and from breaks
• Adhering to all company policies
• Other duties as required.

WORK HOURS:

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday; 4:00pm - 1:00am

• Must be available to work this second shift

• Experience working in a fast-paced production or warehouse or production environment
• Ability to weigh product accurately and consistently
• Ability to assemble daily orders with attention to detail
• Ability to complete orders per customer specifications
• Ability to perform quality checks throughout production and maintain company quality standards
• Ability to work well with a team while demonstrating a professional and respectful demeanor towards others
• Must be able to mostly work with just your hands.
• Must be coachable with the ability to learn new tasks quickly
• Ability to stand or sit for more than 8 hours per day
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be motivated, focused, and have a strong work ethic
• Ability to adapt to change and shifting priorities
• Ability to pass a DOJ Live Scan
• Must be 21+ years of age

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

One or two years of packaging experience preferred. A High School Diploma is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to follow written directions and articulate questions in regard to accurate task performance and execution. Ability to log information and data collection in written form. Ability to create and submit reports regarding task progress and inventory numbers to the Lead and Manager.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL / OTHER SKILLS/LICENSES:

Must have a California ID or Driver's License. Ability to pass DOJ Live Scan. Must be 21+ years of age.
