The Ann Gillespie for State Senate Campaign is seeking qualified individuals to serve as canvassers for the Spring, Summer, and Fall. These are campaign cycle, part-time positions based in the district.

Individuals applying for canvasser positions do not require prior campaign experience.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

● Willingness to knock on doors and talk to voters for several hours several times a week.

● Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment

● Ability to work effectively and tactfully with the public

● Excellent oral and written communication skills

● Access to a car and a laptop

● A strong desire to build coalitions throughout targeted communities

● Working knowledge of G-Suite/Excel. Ability to work irregular hours and some weekends

● Commitment to the values and ideals of the Democratic Party.

Hourly pay rate is tied to past experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $22.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

• Arlington Heights, IL 60004: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Sales: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
