The Paint Technician at ConMet’s Canton, North Carolina facility ensures quality standards in spray painting parts while meeting production schedules. Also ensures proper procedures are followed in handling hazardous wastes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Mixes paint according to Paint Mix Work Instructions
• Moves and stores paint drums and buckets
• Cleans spray pots
• Properly maintain hazardous waste in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Paints surfaces evenly and consistently maintaining a steady flow of production
• Identifies any defects in parts
• Works safely using all required PPE at all times

Education and Experience

• High school diploma/GED required
• Minimum six months related experience required
• Forklift driver’s license required
• Ability to complete RCRA Hazardous Waste Management Training; Drum/Container Storage/Handling for Regulated and Non-Regulated Materials required
