JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Pallet Jack Driver

SAFETY

DUTIES: Wear proper personal protective equipment such as, earplugs, gloves, safety eyeglasses, cutting gloves and smock. Keep hands from moving part. Use proper lifting techniques. Always keep assigned area clean orderly. Report any accidents, unsafe equipment or area to the line leader or supervisor.

GENERAL

DUTIES: Responsible for managing all aspects of the finished goods, shipping operations and rework operations.

SPECIFIC

DUTIES: Employee will clock in and gather their supplies at the supply room when arrive at the facility.

Employee will sanitize before gloving and after reporting to the work area. Employee will receive instructions from the line leader or supervisor.

JOB

SPECIFICS: Operate a jack/forklift in a safe and orderly manner, receive and store incoming items according to established system, maintain a safe and orderly storage arrangement for all items handled.

Maintain cleanliness in assigned area (e.g. yard and warehouse). Handle reloading of route trucks promptly, sort and store partial cases of product returned on route trucks. Maintain records of daily check list (pre-trip inspections), perform other duties as assigned. Verify work tickets to make certain the correct product is packaged/cut, understand workflow and appropriate computer transactions and report product defects to packing machine operator and/or supervision at end of shift, secure all equipment and machinery, and complete all required paperwork. Perform other related production work as required safely and work to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Work to demanding production schedules and strict quality requirements.

Responsible for Safety Quality Food, SQF, HACCP, CCP task, sanitation and all support programs implementation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Employee will walk/stand 100% of the time. Reaching, bending and twisting

100% of the time. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast pace environment at all times.

ENVIRONMENT: Poultry processors work in cold, damp conditions (40 to 50 degrees) to prevent the meat from spoiling. Work area surface are wet and slippery 100% of the time. Because processors work with knives and sharp machinery, there is a risk of accidental injuries, ranging from minor cuts to finger or limb amputations.

EDUCATION: Minimum education required. Must be able to understand basic instructions from the lead/supervisor.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
