Position Responsibilities:

The Palletizer responsibilities at Turkey Hill - Searcy include handling and stacking of finished good products onto a pallet in a certain pattern depending on the product. Palletizer responsibilities include compliance with established food handling practices ensuring food safety.

In addition to the palletizing position keeping area clean and ready for operations.

Key Duties:

• Handle food in various forms and place onto clean, damage free pallets.
• Monitor in accordance to SOP and /or MBR the code date on packaging.
• Assist forklift operator with wrapping and labeling pallets.
• Handle each product in a food safe manner preventing contamination or foreign matter for entering finished product.
• Ensure the packaging is clean and ready for sale of finished goods before palletizing.
• Through a good working knowledge of inventory locations, inventory sizes, types, pallet counts and patterns, assist in the transfers of materials throughout the material handling process chain.
• Tasks include housekeeping, general sanitation and product quality assessment responsibilities throughout the palletizing process.
• Maintain the integrity of the quality system.
• Be engaged in the day-to-day running of the business by performing tasks beyond normal/baseline job responsibilities, participating in team or business improvement meetings and initiatives positioned toward improving business results.

Minimum Skills Requirements:

• High school education or equivalency.
• Demonstrated excellent coordination and hand dexterity (both hands).
• Demonstrated ability to execute safe work practices & behaviors.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of personnel individually or in a team environment and ability to interface and communicate with production line workers and area managers.
• Demonstrated willingness to work any shift, weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrated willingness to adhere to cGMP requirements.

Physical Requirements:

Position requires the ability to pass drug screens utilizing hair testing and partner to provide a drug-free, healthful and safe work environment.

Position may involve standing for extended periods of times. Work may occur in environments with temperature ranges from ambient to -25º F.

Position requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, good visual accuracy, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, effective verbal communication skills.
