This prestigious Medical Response organization in beautiful, sunny and coastal Northern California is actively seeking for Paramedics. The mission and purpose of the Paramedics is to compassionately deliver high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced patient care in a professional, caring and cost-effective manner.

The Paramedics will assess each call situation to determine best course of action and appropriate protocol utilizing medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, ventilators, IV pumps, Hemodynamic monitoring devices, advanced airway adjuncts/procedures, oxygen and suction devices, intravenous fluids, CPR and other procedures, equipment and medications as required to provide advanced medical care.

The Paramedics will utilize and interpret common laboratory studies, manage complicated pharmacologic infusions, and utilize advanced surgical procedures, e.g. escharotomy, cricothyrotomy. The Paramedics will develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls and will provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements.

The Paramedics will communicate with receiving facility to receive medical direction and to provide critical information and will also communicate with patient and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given, and to show compassion. The Paramedics will follow policies and procedures regarding out-of-chute times and turnaround times and consider patient status and insurance preferred facilities when determining transportation destinations.

The ideal Paramedics should have documented 1-year field experience as a Paramedic (recommend 3-5 years Paramedic experience) with High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Some advanced education preferred. Current CA Paramedic Licensure with valid CA Driver’s license. Current BCLS/ CPR, ACLS, ITLS/PHTLS/ATLS and PALS/PEPP/PCC Provider Certification.
