Summary/Objective
Works in partnership with the Family and Community Manager assist with providing oversight
and direction in the area of family and community services.


Essential Functions

  • Responsible for providing assistance, training and technical assistance in the area of family and
community services
  • Provides support to ensure regulatory and organizational compliance
  • Provides general support to county area coordinators.
  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy and up to data and reports.
  • Assists in planning, formulating, and carrying out goals, policies, and activities in the
implementation of family and community services.
  • Prepares reports, studies, and publications to promote public understanding and support of
family and community programs.
  • Confers and cooperates with other management personnel in formulating administrative and
operational policies and procedures.
  • Monitors family and community services to ensure compliance.
  • Confer with administrative staff to plan and develop a curriculum designed to meet the needs
of infant, toddler & preschool age children.
  • Conduct workshops and conferences for staff to study new procedures, new instructional
materials, and other aids to teaching
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate as appropriate in pre-service training.
  • Responsible for training, planning, assigning, directing work, and addressing complaints and
resolving problems.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility but requires guidance, oversight, and support to
ensure accountability for ongoing program compliance.


Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely requires travel in
and out of service area.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit;
use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb
stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally
lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision,
distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. This position regularly requires extended hours.


Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although out-of-area travel may be expected
upon notice.


Required Education and Experience

Bachelor degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school in health and human
services, social services, or related field


Preferred Education and Experience

Six months to one year related experience and/or training in health and human services.

Family Development Credential
Trainer Certified KY Trainer


Additional Requirements

Must have a valid Kentucky driver's license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory background
checks. Pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug testing as required. State required
minimum vehicle liability insurance and uninsured motorist insurance. Any/all other testing or applicable checks required by local, state, or federal law.
