PSG/CIP is a multi-service community-based social services organization that fulfills its mission of helping individuals and families to achieve their greatest potential through dynamic, cost effective and innovative programming responsive to the needs of diverse communities.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Parent Mentor provides in-home services to parents/families and addresses such topics as parenting skills, behavior modification techniques, anger and stress management, basic life skills, and family budgeting skills.

SALARY: $17.31 per hour Plus $1000 increases every six months for the first two years of employment!

OFFICE LOCATION: Position is based at the Kenosha County Job Center with flexibility to work primarily remote. Hybrid model of time spent at the office/remote, within clients' homes, and out in the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate, implement, evaluate and review family treatment plans.
  • Mentor families in accordance with their treatment plans.
  • Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
  • Provide parenting education, support, and advocacy to program clientele through individual, family, and group work.
  • Attend client court proceedings and provide updates on treatment progress, as required.
  • Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or family activities.
  • Safely transport clients as needed.
Requirements:
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or other related field.
