NATURE OF WORK:


Performs responsible public-contact work involving the scheduling of park activities and the enforcement of rules and regulations to ensure the City parks (including Orlando's iconic Lake Eola Park) are clean, safe, and create a memorable experience for visitors. Inspects the park on a routine basis for cleanliness, safety hazards, maintenance issues, and adherence to park rules; provides routine information to park visitors and tourists; prepares daily reports on park conditions, attendance, evidence of damage or accidents, and status of repairs; and prepares and submits accident and trespass reports. Fills and maintains feeders for water fowl and answers questions from public about the swans. Work is performed primarily outdoors and employee may be subject to extreme weather conditions and insects. Work involves bicycle and foot patrol of City parks. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Lake Eola Park Manager. Performance is reviewed through evaluation of inspection reports, condition of the park, direct observation, and results obtained.

WORK SCHEDULE : 11 PM - 6 AM. Schedule may vary with event schedule, season, and division staffing needs.

Minimum Requirements

High school graduate plus two (2) years experience in public-contact work, preferably involving security, enforcement, and customer-service duties required. Interest in and knowledge of City park facilities helpful. Florida driver license required. Must pass background check and polygraph examination.

VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT INTERVIEW. FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PROVIDED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT.
