POSITION VACANCY

POSITION: Residential Electricity Technology Instructor – Post-Secondary/STAR Community Justice Center

DISTRICT: Scioto County Career Technical Center

REPORTS TO: Adult Trade and Industry Program Coordinator

WORK YEAR: As scheduled- Part-Time (Mon-Fri 5pm-10pm)

SALARY RANGE Post-Secondary Part-Time Instructor Salary Schedule

START DATE January 2023

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years industrial-residential/commercial electricity experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of NEC Code Book
• Demonstrated knowledge of blueprint reading
• Demonstrated ability to wire fixtures
• Demonstrated ability to use mechanical and hydraulic EMT conduit benders
• Electrical Contractors license preferred
• Pass background check/TB Test
• Eligible to obtain an Ohio Department of Education/Adult Education Permit

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to maintain classroom equipment and supplies
• Ability and knowledge to conduct classroom instruction
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work as a member of a team
• Ability to speak effectively to students, visitors, staff, and members of the public
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
