Job description

This position is for a research assistant/coordinator to help a busy Urology practice. The job is a part time contract position with no conventional benefits, but with the opportunity to renew indefinitely, and with compensation that is competitive to most full time positions (but with fewer hours). Full time may be available in the future. Bonus structure is also a possibility.

The job will start with shadowing an experienced coordinator to learn the research documentation process and protocol adherence. Clinical experience required whether it be an MA/LPN/RN background, and Urology experience would be a huge plus. Once trained, you will follow your own research patients and be able to orchestrate your own schedule.

Job Duties:

1. Follow study patients through protocol visits

2. Obtain lab (blood and urine) samples, process through central lab kits

3. Perform ECG, vitals, record AE's and con med changes according to study protocols

4. Perform data entry into electronic data capture systems

5. Maintain required training and certifications (GCP, IATA, more per protocol)

6. Work independently to comply with protocol and patient study visits, manage schedule, communicate with Investigators and Sub-Investigators

7. Maintain Source Documents and Regulatory Files according to sponsor, GCP and FDA requirements

The following are requirements:
1. Reliable transportation, as you may be working in more than one office
2. Bilingual with English and Spanish
3. Great communication skills, both written and verbal
4. Reliability and trustworthiness
5. Phlebotomy skills/lab experience
6. GCP, IATA certifications or the knowledge to obtain quickly
7. Ability to multitask and work independently, must be comfortable with computers

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
