General Description
Niagara County Community College is seeking Camp Counselors/Tutors to assist campers who are enrolled in the P-TECH summer camp. This is a camp for rising Niagara Falls High School 9th graders enrolled in the P-TECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High School), which is a fully funded grant opportunity that provides a pathway to college and careers in Mechanical Technology, Mechanical Design.
Successful Camp Counselors/Tutors should be strong in math and/or have the ability to assist P-TECH students build a STEM project. Current NCCC students enrolled in MET, CADD, Industrial Processing, Engineering, and LAMS would be preferred. Other related majors will also be considered.

The camp runs for 2 weeks, Monday – Friday, from 8:30am to 3pm, July 10th -21st, at Niagara Falls High School. Shorter work hours are available.

Must be able to navigate relationships with members of diverse populations; Must be able to operate computers; must be able to communicate verbally and in writing; must be able to physically perform the functions of the position.
Required Qualifications
- Must have strong math skills.
- Either currently enrolled in or have an Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer Aided Drafting & Design, Industrial Processing, Engineering, or Liberal Arts and Mathematics and Science LAMS. Other related majors may be considered.
Desirable Qualifications
Current or former Niagara County Community College student.

In just a short period of time, it has become the nucleus of the campus; a place for faculty to collaborate and help students develop critical thinking skills while incorporating state-of-the-art technology and innovative student support services.
