Job description
Hampden-Sydney College has an immediate opening for a part-time groundskeeper. Perform general grounds maintenance tasks of a standard nature, involving operation of motorized equipment and variety of hand tools. Duties include mow, cut, water lawns; rake/blow leaves; dig holes for bushes; pull/chop weeds; prune; haul topsoil/mulch. Must be able to lift and carry heavy loads, work in bending/standing positions. Hazard weather duties and special event support required as directed.Must be able to operate lawn care equipment, be at least 18 years of age, and hold a valid Virginia drivers license. Hours are 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday Friday, weekends as needed.
