Pediatric Social Worker - Charlotte/Matthews, NC

Pediatric Advanced Therapy (PAT) is seeking a Pediatric Social Worker to work part-time in either our Charlotte and Matthews, NC clinics. The candidate should be either a LCSW or LCSWA. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from LMHC/A or LMFT/A at this time.

This part time position will have a schedule starting 3pm or later in order to meet the needs of our pediatric school age population. We are also accepting applications for contract therapists as well.

Charlotte: 2102 Cambridge Beltway Drive Suite E Charlotte, NC 28273

Matthews: 2301 Crownpoint Executive Drive Suite F Charlotte, NC 28277

PAT is a multi-disciplinary pediatric clinic offering occupational, physical and speech therapies, counseling and ABA. We are the largest pediatric clinic in the Carolinas and have a tight-knit and supportive team that works collaboratively in treatment. Professional development is available and encouraged.

We currently offer counseling at all of our locations. While our primary clientele includes children with special needs, our practice provides counseling for all pediatric diagnoses.

Pediatric Social Worker Job Requirements

• Use the DSM to evaluate clients
• Create a plan of treatment using goals and objectives to address the patient’s diagnosis
• Provide child, family and parent therapy sessions to support treatment goals
• Provide group counseling sessions
• (1) of the following: Master’s degree in social work (LCSW), Associate level professionals also considered, LCSWA.
• Ideal candidate should have a flexible schedule to see patients in afternoon/early evening for after-school hours

Pediatric Mental Health Therapist Experience

At least one year of pediatric counseling/therapy experience

• Facilitation of group pediatric therapy
• Familiarity in working with all or some of the following diagnoses: Autism, eating disorders, mental illness (aggressive behavior, outbursts, defiance), RAD, suicidal thoughts/ideation
• Preferably already paneled with insurance companies

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $44.00 - $50.00 per hour
