Lavaca Medical Center is a 25-bed rural hospital located in Hallettsville, Texas. A rural health clinic, Lavaca Family Health Clinic, is located within the facility, as well. Lavaca Medical Center is searching for a dedicated part time Pharmacy Technician for the hospital. This role requires someone who is highly self-motivated and able to multi-task on a daily basis. The Pharmacy Technician role entails (but is not limited to)

• Preparing medicines
• Receiving and verifying prescriptions
• Measure and mix medication
• Dispense medication
• Stocking supplies/inventory

Basic computer and typing skills are required for the electronic health record (EHR) system utilized in the hospital. Previous experience with an EHR is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Physical setting:

• Inpatient

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Pharmacy technician experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• EHR systems: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (Required)
