Job description
St. Lawrence Catholic School would like to hire a few more part time teacher assistants, making sure that all classes have complete coverage. There are 2 different shifts, one that is 8AM to 1PM and the other which is 1PM to 3PM. The positions will be in either Early Childhood or Elementary. Candidates for this position must support the mission of Catholic Education.
The teacher assistant works under the direction of the classroom teacher, principal and assistant principal. Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assist with attendance and classroom routines
- Reinforce lessons, concepts, and skills one-on-one with students or in small groups
- Assist the teacher with collating and distributing materials
- Help keep the classroom clean and orderly
- Help supervise students in classes, during transitions, during lunch and recess
- Enforce school and class rules to help teach students proper behavior
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Level 2 background screening.
