Job description
RVCC Foundation is seeking a part time federal work study student for office support to the RVCC Foundation and RVCC Alumni Association. This work-study position is available for Academic Year 2022-2023.The Student Assistant will assist with data analysis & screening, researching various social media platforms to identify possible RVCC alumni, supporting possible on-campus Foundation & Alumni events.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Analyzing data from various social media and researching professional networking sites to identify possible RVCC alumni.
Assisting in de-duping data, specifically old contact information (emails) for former RVCC alums & updating the Alumni & Foundation databases accordingly.
Communicating with RVCC alumni via social media & helping to disseminate content to RVCC alumni for possible on-campus Foundation & Alumni events.
Additional administrative support duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Student needs to be federal work-study eligible. Please check with the Financial Aid office to determine eligibility.
RVCC student enrolled at least half-time (6 credits) in good academic standing.
Strong attention to detail and interest in general research assignments.
Strong impersonal skills.
Strong technology skills, specifically Microsoft Word & Excel.
Strong social media experience.
Experience with web-based communications platforms (e.g., MobileCause, LinkedIn, etc.) a plus; smartphone video production also a plus.
Additional Information:
Federal Work-Study positions are for financial aid applicants whose applications deem eligibility.
The starting rate is $15.00 per hour.
Cannot exceed 20 hours per week and is based on student's schedule and availability. This position is limited by the work-study grant. Fall and Spring Semesters only (NO Summer).
This is an on campus job that will be primarily housed in the RVCC Foundation Office, located at 74 Lamington Rd.
