Job Title: Party Host/Hostess

Pay Transparency: $16- $18 hourly + tips

Role and Responsibilities

The Party Host/Hostess is responsible of running the party activities and ensuring a great customer service experience. The Party Host/Hostess should be responsive to the party host and guests and create a fun and safe environment.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for setup and cleanup for party equipment such as tables, inflatables, and sports equipment.
• Assist the party host, run and participate in all sports party activities.
• Maintain positive staff, manager, and parent relationships.
• Ensure an excellent customer experience for all party guests.
• Maintain clean and safe party spaces and supervise party guests with attention to safety, cleanliness, and guest engagement.
• Administer emergency care to members and guests in need of assistance.
• Work as a TEAM with all other departments.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Other Functions

• Assist Marketing Coordinator in promoting and marketing birthday parties through phone calls, marketing materials, and event promotions.
• Respond to all communication in a timely manner.
• Be knowledgeable about and promote all programs and activities offered by Active Wellness.
• Perform routine maintenance of Party equipment.
• Assist with keeping the club well stocked and clean.
• Attend Active Wellness site meetings and training.
• Handle injury and illness and security incident reporting.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Must enjoy working with kids.
• Basic understanding of most sports.
• Previous health club experience is a plus.
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and highly responsive with a commitment to customer service.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, customer service skills, results-oriented, ability to multitask, and commitment to the fitness industry.
• AED/CPR/First Aid Certified.
• Proof of citizenship or legal status.

Physical and Working Conditions

• The work schedule must align with the needs of the club and parties. Weekends are required.

• Ability to take the responsibility for the health and safety of others.

• Ability to stand for several hours in the same shift; ability to lift 25 lbs.

• Fitness club environment.

• Must follow Cal/OSHA and Active Wellness safety standards.
