Organization information:
Windom Area Health (WAH) is an 18-bed Critical Access Hospital located in Windom, MN. The hospital serves Windom, Mt. Lake and the surrounding areas. Windom Area Health provides specialty outreach services on a regular basis including cardiology, podiatry, general surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, pulmonology, urology and occupational/speech/physical therapies. Emergency room, laboratory and imaging services are also available 24 hours a day. A fitness center and group exercise classes are also available to the community members.
Windom Area Health is committed to offering obstetrics services, which many rural hospitals are no longer providing due to volume and cost associated. We have approximately 100 babies here every year!
Our mission is “Dedicated to Health”, which directs our decision making and services on a daily basis. We have a management agreement with Sanford Health and are owned by the City of Windom.
Job Details:
Windom Area Health is seeking a full-time Patient Access Representative to provide excellent customer service to patients. Primary role includes scheduling patient visits, tests and procedures. This position will perform prior authorization on select services. Applicants must have a high school diploma. Previous experience in a health care setting is required, or the equivalent in a medical related degree. Week day hours. This position is eligible for PTO/Sick time, health insurance, free dental coverage, 7.5% retirement contribution, and many other benefits.
