We are currently a Full Time Patient Account Representative to join our Patient Financial Services Team!
Responsibilities:
This position provides daily support and coordination of all billing tasks to facilitate cash flow, reduce accounts receivables and ensure compliance with all pertinent regulatory agencies. Responsibilities include: timely and accurate submission of claims to Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurances as well as private pay bills; manage accounts receivables through satisfaction of balance; process EOB's from third party payers; review and reconcile payments and credit balances; call insurance companies regarding payment discrepancies and denials; key adjustments to reconcile accounts; verify insurance coverage.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Previous experience in health-care accounts receivable billing required
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and third party payers
- Working knowledge of UB04 and 1500 claim forms, revenue codes and CPT/HCPC codes
- Ability to read and understand insurance explanations of benefits
- Knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook; strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
