Job description
Summary: The PCT is responsible for observing and interpreting patient monitoring devices under the direction of the RN. Documents all pertinent information and notifies nursing staff of changes or abnormalities. Incumbents are subject to overtime and call-back as required by the hospital. The PCT also serves as the unit's medical clerk.
Education: High School graduate, previous training specific to Hospital or Medical Office skills is desirable.
Experience: Experience in a health care setting preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with computer based data entry, effective written and verbal communication, excellent telephone etiquette, and good customer service skills are required.
