This is a Full time Night position. This position is for the mom/bay couplet unit. Caring for postpartum patients and newborns. we are looking for motivated team players that is focused on providing exceptional patient care. Requiring 12 hour shift and weekends.

Position Purpose

The nurse tech in the mom/baby Obstetrics and Gynecology unit acre for post-partum patients after labor and delivery, performs a variety of patient direct care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

Assist patients with dressing or undressing, bathing, or eating. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs but does not start or administer intravenous fluids. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Documents patient interactions as needed.

Education:

Required: High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
Preferred: Post High School vocational/specialized training in relevant field.

Experience:

Preferred: One (1) year clinical experience in hospital, long term care, home health or nursing home.

Skills:

As defined in Competency documentation.

Licenses/Certifications:

Required: American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) BLS certification.
