Assist the department leadership in providing directive and assistance to payment posting staff and refunds staff.- Provides assistance in monitoring payment posting staff.
- Assists in staff evaluations
- Work on special projects or report analysis as requested.
- Assist in maintaining and working the suspense account for unidentified funds.
- Audit the receipts received in off-site Pinnacle locations.
- Assist in training new hires for the department and assist in on-going education of staff with regard to new procedures or processes.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality.
- Mentor employees, conduct performance evaluations, counsel and provide disciplinary actions to assigned personnel, and works to facilitate individual and team development that drives positive results

Qualifications
:
Strong skill in verbal and written communication- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Strong working knowledge of office policy and procedure
- Working knowledge of Excel and Word
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong skill in gathering and reporting information and analyzing reports
- General understanding of the functions of all other Pinnacle departments
- Ability to work effectively and independently with staff, physicians and external customers
- Must have a pleasant disposition and high tolerance level for diverse personalities
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Communicate well with the public
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- A minimum of a high school diploma is required. An Associate’s degree in business administration or health related field is preferred.
- Prefer experience in a health care organization. Must have worked in a Payment Posting Department for a minimum of one (1) year.
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching- Must possess sufficient eye-hand coordination/manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment
- Required normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports and evaluations.
- Requires lifting papers and boxes weighing up to 35 pounds occasionally
- Requires dexterity to type at least 50 wpm.
- Work performed in office environment
- Involves frequent contact with professional staff and managed care organizations
- Work may be stressful at times
- Interaction with others is frequent and often disruptive
