Position: Payroll and Benefits Coordinator Location: Central Office Reports to: Finance Director Pay Rate: $45,000-$55,000 (commensurate on experience) Contract Term: 260 days Start Date: October 2022 Preferred Qualifications: ? Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, human resources or related field. ? MSBO certification, or willing to obtain ?Three (3) years’ experience in payroll, human resources, and/or school finance ? Experience with Macomb Information System accounting software Responsibilities: ? Process bi-weekly payroll and related reporting ? Manage employee benefits ?
Process and record employee leave requests ? On-boarding of new employees ? Process all changes, reports and payments required for MPSERS ? Prepare documents for audits; financial, ORS, worker comp, IRS, etc.
? Process all contracts, contract changes, and payroll adjustments ? Oversee worker comp and disability claims ? Administer FMLA for the district ?
Process employee and volunteer background checks ? Administer Safe Schools training program ? Assist in other business operational duties as assigned by Finance Director ?
