Stefanini is looking for Payroll Specialist (Remote Position)
Accountabilities:
- Ensures payroll is processed with speed and accuracy.
- Serves as liaison to team members and with third party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies.
- Audits team member pay records, and reconciles totals by department, location, country, etc.
- Interprets pay policies, (e.g., vacation, LOA, disability, workers compensation, union contracts, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.) and ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly.
- Verifies compliance with federal and state payroll requirements, and stays current with changes in the law.
- Documents payroll processes and procedures. Ensures all processes and procedures meet government requirements.
- May assist with audits of internal records, workers compensation, tax filings, related documentation, and SOX testing.
- May work with outsource vendors to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures all computer systems and back- ups are working correctly.
- Ensures time and attendance records are input and transmitted in accordance with deadlines.
- Coordinates new projects and conversions.
Role Description:
- Analyze and process payroll
- Develop a deep understanding of each element that effects a pay check
- Cultivate a strong working relationship with ADP and other payroll vendors
Essential Requirements:
- Ability to quickly identify trends in data to ensure accurate payrolls
- Participate in projects that have a direct impact to the payroll processes
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel
- ***Must have experience handling/working with high volume headcount environment.
